3 Months Later
Last time I had the pleasure of writing here was 3 months ago.
Got a new job or better said the internship become profitable. Summer its here and i bought a new AC, that only worked 30 min. Yes after almost 3 hours from the purchase time, the stair, unpacking, the manual and putting the AC to work, it only worked 30 min. The next two months trying to get PC RICHARDS to come and fix the AC. After some exchange of call and two visits of the so call technicians they came to the conclusion that we need a new panel. Unfortunately the PC RICHARDS where not making that panel anymore. So take the ac out put in the box go the PC RICHARDS and exchange with a new one. Come up the stairs, unpack and yes the AC is working.
Great for the Global warming.
Yes the AC was one of the big events this summer and yes the new job (not really profitable), not really great. I NEED A NEW JOB, ANY ONE OUT THERE.

The Farm
The land is there....I was researching and found some interesting comments about what type of fertilizers one should use. In my farm it going to have to be organic fertilizers.
"Dr. Jean Beagle Ristaino, professor of plant pathology at NC State and the lead author of a paper describing the research, organic and sustainable farm soils contained more helpful chemical nutrients, had higher porosity and water-holding capacity – reducing the need for watering – and contained more beneficial bacteria that contribute to overall healthiness." Reducing the need for water it is "An important and highly desired characteristic during times of drought".
"Soil with organic fertilizers require less water, an important factor given that predictions suggest by 2025 most developing countries will face physical or economic water.
Chemicals acting as soil nutrients were also more prevalent in sustainable and organic soils, as were tiny organisms that could help suppress soil-borne diseases.
Crop yields on farms in developing countries that used sustainable agriculture rose nearly 80 percent in four years, according to a study scheduled for publication in the Feb. 15 issue of the American Chemical Society journal Environmental Science & Technology.

The Fun Killer
"Alcoholism is In common and historic usage, alcoholism refers to any condition that results in the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages despite the health problems and negative social consequences it causes. "
Alc0holism is a silent killer in our societies... Government are concerning about Education, irradiation of poverty or HIV. These are very important issues in society, But we have to start to take in consideration this new or we can say old silent killer.
"The social problems arising from alcoholism can be significant. Being drunk or hung over during work hours can result in loss of employment, which can lead to financial problems including the loss of living quarters. Drinking at inappropriate times, and behavior caused by reduced judgment, can lead to legal consequences, such as criminal charges for Drunk Driving or public disorder, or civil penalties for Tortuous behavior. An alcoholic's behavior and mental impairment while drunk can profoundly impact surrounding family and friends, possibly leading to Marital conflict and Divorce, or contributing to Domestic Violence. This can contribute to lasting damage to the emotional development of the alcoholic's children, even after they reach adulthood. The alcoholic could suffer from loss of respect from others who may see the problem as self-inflicted and easily avoided"
As we can see alcoholism can be very danger to a growing society, it affect all the sector of a society. Creating an instable environment. It can be said that this phenomena can be the cause of poverty or vice versa and increasing the number of HIV infected persons.
In some society maybe it is a Taboo to talk about alcoholism, however I think that is very important that this Taboo has to be broken. Personally i know people that surfer from this disease but don't even know. They just think that they are having to much fun. People are starting to drink in a younger age and in stronger types of alcohol. The famous Vodka or tequila, it will kill or destroy the lives of many people in the years to come.
Alcoholism is a social problem, as like all the social problems it affects the society as a whole.

The Farm (continuation)
Going back to my farm.
I have being trying to research about sustainable Agriculture. It is an overwhelmed task.
I found a paper that proposed a improvement of the Vegetables Farms in South Uruguay.
I will try to take some of the ideas for my own farm.
A lot of work , and it seams more because i am not at the field. I am just researching here in my desk, but the main goal is that one day i will implement, this plan.
Why Vegetables ? Mozambique import vegetables. we are capable to produce and sustain all the internal market. So one of the reasons why Vegetable. The other one is that we have eat more healthier, African countries have malnutrition problems. Maybe by producing more vegetable that problem can decrease .
Some points that i came across.
No use of chemical fertilizers ..... all Natural .. maybe i will have a better market if all the products are ORGANICs.
"sustainable development implies that the productive capacity of the resource base has to be maintained to guarantee stable or increasing production in the future. Sustainable may be interpreted as the degree to which a set of objectives in different domains e.g. economics, environment, landscape and equity in satisfied"
So sustainable agriculture is more than just the vegetable it all about the community all the direct and indirect stakeholder.
